Take a Lanzarote tour they are top of the list of things to do in Lanzarote all year round

There's no better activity than to explore Lanzarote and see all the wonderful things the island has to offer. The island is divided into two parts: the North and the South and they have a huge contrast in terms of attractions and different things to see, it would be best to see both sides if you can. The most sought-out attraction is Timanfaya National Park, whilst in the North of Lanzarote, it is Jameos Del Agua. The Timanfaya Lanzarote Grand tour lets you see the whole island in just one day! Ideal if you want to plan for one-day sightseeing.

The Grand Tour of Lanzarote

Taking in all the Sights and attractions is one of the most popular things to do in Lanzarote, the island has some of the most breathtaking landscapes, views, and places to see and of course is home to the luna landscape itself Timanfaya National Park, and the great works of Cesar Manrique. Holidays are not just about this for a lot of us so if you just want to set aside one day to explore then out of all the Lanzarote tours on offer the Timanfaya Lanzarote Grand Tour will allow you to see the whole island from South to North in one day.

Tour the North and South of Lanzarote

If you have more time to spare then we most definitely would recommend you take the Lanzarote volcano South tour. This takes you not just to Timanfaya but through the rest of South Lanzarote as well. You can also choose to take the North tour and Jameos Del Agua Tour so you can see more of Lanzarote! You can choose to see the island on just a typical Lanzarote tour with an English speaking guide or you can go the adventurous route and go on the 4 x 4 North tour and the 4 x 4 South tour. Definitely a more fun way of exploring!

Short and sweet things to do in Lanzarote

We get it, with so many things to pack into your holiday and so much pool, beach and relaxing you may not want to spend much time exploring. That's why there is a short south tour. Timanfaya National park being is the most famous of the Lanzarote attractions so the Lanzarote Volcano Short South Tour is an ideal way to see Timanfaya, El Golfo, the Lanzarote camels, and be back for lunch.

Lanzarote Attractions and other exciting things to see and do in Lanzarote

With so many Lanzarote attractions and parks that should be included in your itinerary, it can get hard to choose. If you'd like to go on slides or chill by the pools, Lanzarote waterparks like Aquapark Costa Teguise and the Playa Blanca waterpark Aqua Lava are the perfect spots to visit. If you're interested in seeing amazing animals, sea lion shows, dolphin shows, bird of prey shows and a huge splash and waterslide area, then you should visit the Rancho Texas animal and splash park. The place gives you a fun day with some of the best things to do in Lanzarote.

Rancho Texas Lanzarote - The number one thing to do in Lanzarote

Rancho Texas has just got bigger and better every year, of course during 2020/2021 it was closed but during this time they put their efforts into making Rancho Texas probably the number one on the list of things to do Lanzarote. Not only is the park huge, but it's also so well kept too and has an array of animals. There is everything from white tigers, penguins, birds of prey, and even sea lions and dolphins. You can even make the most of your day at Rancho texas and interact with the dolphins and you can also swim and play with the amazing sea lions.

Timanfaya National Park a must on your list of things to do in Lanzarote

You wouldn't go to Egypt and not see the Pyramids so you cannot come to Lanzarote and not see the famous Timanfaya National Park and live Lanzarote Volcanoes. Know as many names, El Diablo (The devil), and Fire Mountain. With many ways to see Timanfaya we really do stress that taking a tour is the better option. Not only do you get a guide but in peak season those with hire cars are in traffic for miles waiting to get it while all the buses drive past. Dont be the stressed person sat in a hot car, go straight in on a fully air-conditioned coach. In Timanfaya you will see all demonstrations of the elements and even see food cooking over the volcanic heat. The views and spectacular also. There are many ways to tour this beautiful place, just visit our Timanfaya national park page and book there.

Waterparks in Lanzarote

On everyone's list of things to do there is always visiting a waterpark, there are two waterparks in Lanzarote to choose from. Whilst, not the biggest in the world they are certainly one of the greatest things to do in Lanzarote to spend a day. Both Lanzarote waterparks offer a bus service to get you there. Unless you are in Playa Blanca and visiting the Playa Blanca waterpark Aqua Lava then you can go direct and get your tickets here with us to avoid any long waits at the gate. Likewise, if you are staying in Costa Teguise then you can also get the Aquapark Costa Teguise without the bus service and get tickets to whizz through and have more time. For those wanting to visit either of the Lanzarote water parks from any resort, the bus pick-up is perfect and runs most days.

Things to do at night in Lanzarote

To enjoy the Lanzarote nightlife, there are three main shows on the island that are guaranteed to give you a great time. The best and latest edition is the Oceans Royale dinner and show, this has taken Lanzarote by storm and everyone is loving it. Set in a luxury venue with an amazing 3-course meal and show that will blow you away. This is what everyone is talking about in the Oceans Royale Lanzarote show. You can go to the Music Hall Tavern and the Rancho Texas country and western night, either way, you're going to be entertained the whole night through.

Oceans Royale Lanzarote

This breathtaking show in Lanzarote started in 2020 and went down a storm being sold out every week, set in an unbelievable venue with great food and service and dazzling show it's one of the things to do in Lanzarote that you will never forget. Offering different options to suit all and did we mention the venue? It is honestly one of the best places to spend a night out on the island. Oceans Royale Lanzarote show is back bigger and better so get your tickets today!

Music Hall Tavern Lanzarote

One of the most established shows in Lanzarote, the Music Hall Tavern comedy drag show will have you laughing from start to finish, the show started in Lanzarote and has now developed to all the Canary Islands and has a UK tour so you can be sure its a great night out.

Rancho Texas Country Night

When people ask what is a good night out in Lanzarote, you wouldn't expect them to say a Country and Western show set in a Texan style ranch with cowboys and Indians, but here in Lanzarote one of the oldest running shows is the Rancho Texas Country show. A delicious BBQ feast, with live performances, line dancing, and an inclusive bar. What more could you ask for?

Things to do that are more adventurous in Lanzarote

Have we given you a big enough list of things to do in Lanzarote yet? Well, what we have told you about so far is great but rather ordinary and most of the time, people are looking for something new to do like driving one of the Lanzarote buggies or going scuba diving in Lanzarote. You can also go drive an electric car on a fun Lanzarote tour. For the active tourists, we have so many activities in store for you that you won't run out of beautiful spots to take pictures from.

Buggies Lanzarote

A Lanzarote buggy tour is such a fun and exciting day of adventure, you get to see the island while driving on and off-road. To feel the breeze in your hair and the sheer thrill is enough but coupled with the views and sights you will see makes this an amazing day out. If Lanzarote buggies don't take your fancy you can also choose to see the island by a Lanzarote quad tour. You can drive a very unique Slingshot with the Slingshot tour. Or even more exciting and if there are three of you try a Lanzarote trike tour. For adventurous things to do in Lanzarote look no further than the best buggies and quads in Lanzarote.

Things to at sea with the best Lanzarote boat trips

The Lanzarote Submarine, family boat trips, island hopping and Lanzarote Catamarans are just a couple of Lanzarote boat trips that TravelON World offers. Get to chill out on one of the catamarans headed out to Papagayo Beaches or bring the whole family on an I Love Papagayo and get the best value for your money. There are Lanzarote boat trips you can book that will take you to three islands on just one holiday. Because Lanzarote boat trips are in demand, we recommend that you book in advance.

Catlanza Lanzarote

When it comes to Lanzarote catamarans then Catlanza is the name to trust, Irish-owned and well-established you will find the service on their cruises is unbelievable. Setting sail from Puerto Calero to Papagayo you will be spoilt with an inclusive bar, waited on by the crew and who knows you might even see the dolphins. Catlanza Lanzarote has two different sailing experiences one called Catlanza Papagao beaches for all the families where the pirate crew will entertain the kids and what they call their platinum sail which is the Catlanza adults-only cruise Catlanza adults-only cruise. This means no children onboard and a truly relaxing day out at sea.

Catamaran to La Graciosa

One of the unique things to do in Lanzarote visits another island like the island at the North of Lanzarote called La Graciosa. It really is an unbelievable place that has no roads and is more Canarian than you will ever experience there are only around 500 people living there and all the houses are built on the sand. You can get to La Graciosa by Catamaran with the La Graciosa Lanzarote catamaran excursion.

Hire a Lanzarote Jet Ski

One of the things that are really fun to do in Lanzarote hires a Lanzarote jet ski, you can go from 20 minutes to up to 2 hours and whizz around the Atlantic Ocean and have so much fun. The Jet skis come in singles and doubles so you can either ride solo or with a partner. The best way to rent a Lanzarote jet ski is with us as we will arrange to pick up and drop off for every Lanzarote jet ski hire booking over 20 minutes.

A breakdown of things to do in Lanzarote by resorts

So wherever you are staying in Lanzarote it most likely is in one of the three main resorts Puerto Del Carmen, Costa Teguise or Playa Blanca and some in the capital Arrecife. Sure many will be staying out of these resorts but for booking excursions with a pick up all of them only pick up from these four main areas. Anything else is considered residential or rural so buses cannot get there and can you imagine all the private rentals on the island and Lanzarote excursions picking people up from all of them. The day would just be pickups, therefore there are set pick up points and times in these main resorts.

All excursions in Lanzarote will pick up from these resorts but let's look at the main things to do by area.

Things to do in Playa Blanca Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the newest of resorts really and is where some of the largest hotels on the island are, so many people stay in the hotels as they cater for everything but it is great to get out and see things. There are plenty of walks and a huge promenade that stretched the whole resort and with beautiful views all the way. It is a coastal walk and to get from one end Papagayo to the other, the Playa Blanca lighthouse will probably take you about 2 to 3 hours.

Playa Blanca is also home to Aqualava waterpark so you can book your ticket with us and head there yourselves to skip the line and spend the day splashing around and enjoying all of the slides and rides. Also in Playa Blanca, there are many bars and restaurants some of the best are in the main town along the seafront and you have everything from typical Canaria food, Italian, Chinese and India. In fact, you have everything, the main nightlife happens in the Papagayo centre where you will find many fun pubs and clubs to enjoy. For a more glamourous night out and a show, we highly recommend the Oceans Royale dinner and show and they pick up from Playa Blanca too.

You won't be stuck for things to do in Playa Blanca but if you have any questions or want to get some directions to contact us anytime. You can find a full list of the best excursions and things to do in Playa Blanca here

Things to do in Puerto Del Carmen Lanzarote

Puerto Del Carmen is the largest and liveliest resort by far, with a huge strip of bars and restaurants in the new town and many in the old town of Puerto Del Carmen. As far as things to do in Puerto Del Carmen you will be spoilt for choice.

For shopping, you have a huge Biosfera shopping centre with 3 floors of branded shops, cafes and a McDonalds. Here on the top floor you also have the Lanzarote outdoor Cinema and huge crazy golf so it really is a hub of activity and hosts some of the best things to do in Puerto Del Carmen. It is situated in the old town which is also where the harbour is. From Puerto Del Carmen harbour you can sample some lovely fresh fish restaurants and watch the boats coming and going. The only Lanzarote boat trip that departs from Puerto Del Carmen is the I Love Papagayo Catamaran which is the ideal way to get out on the ocean. From Puerto Del Carmen also you have the taxi boat that will take you to and from Puerto Calero. The Puerto Del Carmen to Puerto Calero water taxi goes daily and is a great way to kill a few hours in Puerto Del Carmen and you get to see the Puerto Calero marina.

There are many of the Lanzarote excursions that are based in Puerto Del Carmen. Rancho Texas is situated just on the outskirts of the resort and they also offer a pick up if you don't want to get there yourself. You will still however need a ticket to get in so save time and money and book your Rancho Texas tickets in advance. The two main Lanzarote shows are also in Puerto Del Carem. The number one Oceans Royale dinner and show and the famous Music Hall Tavern both have their venues here. So in a nutshell, there are so many things to do in Puerto Del Carmen that we will do a blog in our blog section to tell you more.

You can find a full list of the best excursions and things to do in Puerto Del Carmen here

Things to do in Costa Teguise Lanzarote

Costa Teguise has many bars and restaurants for you to enjoy but the resort is split up into many sections so unlike Puerto Del Carmen and Playa Blanca you will have to visit different areas to experience everything. There are however some great things to do in Costa Teguise like the Lanzarote Aquarium which is right on your doorstep and offers a great escape from the usual beach and pool as you wander around the underwater world and see all of the marine life in this giant aquarium. You do need tickets and with us, you can beat the line and get straight in and go at your leisure with no hassle and save some money too. Just book your Lanzarote Aquarium tickets and we will send you an instant digital ticket it's that simple.

Of course, Costa Teguise is most famous for the Lanzarote Aquapark, the fist and largest Lanzarote waterpark is situated in Costa Teguise and is a short taxi ride from any hotel or accommodation. We do recommend booking in advance and getting your Aquapark Lanzarote tickets to avoid any long wait and save.

You can find a full list of the best excursions and things to do in Costa Teguise here

Things to do in Arrecife the capital of Lanzarote

Arrecife although not really a resort but more the capital is becoming more popular as a holiday destination and why not it has a lovely beach, a brand new marina, huge shopping areas and some delicious restaurants to dine in. While there are no attractions in Arrecife all Lanzarote excursions and tours pick up here. You won't be stuck for things to do in Arrecife as day or night there are many places to go. Charco de San Gines is up and coming and is where many of the amazing bars and restaurant are and the views are so magical. This is where the locals go so you can be sure its best priced, it is also not far from the new marina which is also a great place to spend a few hours. There are many churches and buildings in Arrecife worth visiting too.

If you are staying in Arrecife you can find a full list of the best excursions and things to do in Arrecife here

Things to do in Puerto Calero Lanzarote

Another small resort with tow hotels in Puerto Calero, where the wealthy hang out and live and has the famous millionaires marina of Puerto Calero. Whilst small there are loads of things to do in Puerto Calero and many people head there to go 30 meters under the water on the Lanzarote Yellow Submarine. In the Puerto Calero marina, there are an array of designer shops and lovely restaurants too and you can watch the yachts and catamarans sail in and out. One of the most famous Lanzarote Catamarans in Catlanza which is based in Puerto Calero and will take you on a Lanzarote catamaran cruise to Papagayo bay. You can also get the taxi boat from Puerto Calero to Puerto Del Carmen and spend the day in Puerto Del Carmen, but we think you will find plenty of things to do in Puerto Calero to keep you busy.

Although a small resort you can find a full list of the best excursions and things to do in Puerto Calero here
