Out of all of the tours, the south tours of Lanzarote seem to be the most popular as in the south you can find  Timanfaya National Park. There are a number of ways to see the south and all depending on how long you want to spend and what you want to see.

Timanfaya National Park probably the most popular place to visit in Lanzarote

Timanfaya National Park is the most popular place to visit in Lanzarote here you'll get to see demonstrations of a live volcano and earth, fire and water. You can also take the luna route that was created from the Lanzarote volcano eruption. One of the most unique places in the world and like being in space, in fact, the first place NASA landed on Mars they names Timanfaya. You can explore Timanfaya National Park for a full day or half-day, depending on your schedule. All tours can be found on our Timanfaya National Park page.

If you are making your plan of places to visit in Lanzarote and Timanafaya is on your list we strongly recommend you look at taking a tour rather than making your own way for a number of reasons.

  • Tours get priority of entrance you will be waiting in a long line of cars to get in while the buses drive past.
  • You have to take the Timanfaya official bus you do the luna route you cannot drive around it yourself.
  • While the demonstrations are visual on a tour you get a guide explaining everything.
  • A tour is more comfortable and let's face it when you drive you will look at the road, not the views.
