If you're visiting Lanzarote this winter, one of the questions on your mind is probably 'Are there things to do in Lanzarote whilst you're here'. We think you'll like the answer.
The top Lanzarote days out in Winter
Lanzarote is an all-year round holiday destination, which basically means everything is open; all the time. Unlike some of the other Spanish islands and resorts there is no holiday season here. It's non-stop, around the clock action thanks to the temperatures we are blessed with 365 days a year. However, travellers to the island in Winter might be wondering about things to do in Lanzarote, places to visit and some of the excursions that are on offer. Here is our list of the Top Lanzarote Days out in Winter for 2022
Lanzarote Grand Tour, including the Timanfaya National Park
The Lanzarote Grand Tour is the ultimate tour of the best bits of Lanzarote, including the Timanfaya National Park. The National Park is the area on the west coast that was devastated by volcanic activity over 100 years ago. Today it's a protected area and open to the public as part of a guided coach tour. It's by far the most popular attraction on the island with couples, families and mature travellers.
The Grand Tour itself covers more than just the volcanoes though. With stop offs at El Golfo, Haria and Jameos del Agua, you really do get to see some of the best attractions on the island. You'll also get some time to enjoy a spot of Lanzarote wine tasting along the way!
Lanzarote Sunset Boat Trips and Cruises
Here in Lanzarote we get some amazing sunsets, and non more so than in Autumn and Winter. The skies often provide a spectacular show at sun down where the clouds light up producing some of the most natural lightships we've ever seen. And what better way to experience a Lanzarote Sunset than on the ocean on a sunset cruise!
Grab a glass of Cava with your loved one and share the magic moment as the sun seemingly drops into the ocean, lighting up the magnificent volcanic coastline and horizon. It's a very special experience and one we would highly recommend. No wonder it's such a popular excursion!
Lanzarote Buggy Tours
Let's be honest, the Lanzarote Buggy Tours are popular all year round. Why? Because they are great fun for all the family. Race around the volcanic landscape, by the shoreline and the back roads in an all-terrain 4x4 buggy. Each vehicle can accommodate a driver and a passenger meaning they are perfect for couples, families and even solo travellers.
The Lanzarote Markets
The year round Lanzarote Markets are always a sight to be seen, as local artisans line the streets with stalls to showcase their products. At the Lanzarote Markets you'll find all sorts of unique products from Crafts, Jewellery, Local Produce and more. So if you're looking for a souvenir of your Lanzarote holiday, something to enjoy back in the villa or you just want to browse the market and absorb the atmosphere we think you'll love the experience.
At the moment you can find the market on a Wednesday and Saturday morning in Playa Blanca, a Tuesday and Friday morning in Puerto Calero and of course the Sunday Market is in the village of Teguise. At the time of writing there are no markets in Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise.
Lanzarote Jet Skis
You might be wondering why anyone would want to Jet Ski in winter, but as we've previously mentioned the climate in Lanzarote is extremely pleasant in the winter thanks to it's year round sunshine, so the Jet Ski experience in Lanzarote is extremely popular in winter. You can book your jet ski for a set amount of time or if you want combine it with a buggy tour in the north of the island. Jet Skiing in Lanzarote is the perfect way to satisfy that need for speed and provide you with the adrenaline rush you crave out on the Atlantic Ocean
Catlanza Adults Only Catamaran Cruise in Lanzarote
Sit back and relax on one of the islands largest luxury Catamarans as it sails from Puerto Calero to the Papagayo bay. This exclusive adults only Catamaran sailing is the perfect way to unwind on the ocean, in the winter sun of Lanzarote. Enjoy an all-inclusive bar, a freshly prepared lunch on board and free time in the crystal clear waters of the Papagayo Beaches.
Things to do in Lanzarote in Winter
